NICC dental assistance program gets a boost from Delta Dental

The NICC Foundation has received a $50,000 grant from the Delta Dental Foundation to fund the purchases of advanced digital X-ray equipment, new dental sensors and monitors for patients, and new computer software for students enrolled in the college's Dental Assisting program.

Dental Assisting clinical coordinator Gloria Kluesner says the NICC Foundation is also raising local contributions for the program. This will allow for additional instructional equipment purchases, including new electronic hand pieces and mannequins. This funding will also allow the college to provide additional on-site dental care for low-income residents in Northeast Iowa and surrounding areas.
