Winneshiek County supervisors still have just a preliminary 2012 budget, but on Monday they scheduled a public hearing on the spending plan. That means supervisors will wrap up work on the document soon.
The public hearing will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, March 14th. The preliminary budget at this point calls for a slight drop in the county property tax levy for people living within cities in Winneshiek county and a slight increase in the property tax levy for rural residents.
