Luther College has started recycling packaging materials

Luther College has begun a program to collect the packing materials that come with package deliveries. 

Both packaging peanuts and packaging pillows are being collected in the recycling area at Sampson-Hoffland Laboratories.  The packaging material is being offered to local Decorah businesses for reuse.  So far one business has begun reusing the packaging material, but several other Decorah businesses have also expressed their interest.

Luther College Recycling Coordinator Dan Bellrichard says the program has just gotten started and he hopes it will eventually expand.
