Monday is the application deadline for Winneshiek Community Foundation grants

Monday is the deadline for local community groups to apply for funds from the Winneshiek County Community Foundation and the Winneshiek County Gaming Revenue Committee.  The organizations will be awarding over $100,000 through the 2011 grant process.

Grants are made to programs that contribute, in a significant way, to the overall welfare of the people of Winneshiek County. A distributions committee ensures these funds go to support projects related to health, human services, education, the environment, arts and humanities, community development, economic development and other emerging needs.

Eligible grant applicants must be one of the following: a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, a governmental body (such as a school, city or county), or a charitable project with a qualified fiscal sponsor that operates within Winneshiek County.
