


NICC Calmar has announced it will offer a "Smart Start" class aimed at people starting their own businesses.
The class will run from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 11th. It will discuss the proper progression in opening a business and will share strategies for writing an effective business plan – the best tool for evaluating a business idea.
J. Steven Horman of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will present the class. He is a professional business consultant who specializes in long range strategic planning for business, government and non-profit organizations.
