The National Weather Service says Decorah officially had 13/100ths of an inch of rain on Saturday.
That ended a long dry spell for the city. Decorah weather observer Richard Bernatz says there was 1/100ths of an inch of rain on October 2nd, September 26th and September 25th, but the last day more than one-tenth of an inch of rain fell was Friday, September 24th. That means Decorah had gone for 29 days without significant precipitation.
