Job hunters create a sharp increase in Decorah Public Library visits

Therecession has meant much higher use of the Decorah Public Library.  The annual report by the library shows that321,927 people visited in the 2009-2010 fiscal year.  That's an increase of nearly 11 percent fromthe previous fiscal year.

Libraryofficials say they've seen an increase in the number of people using theresources at the library to help in their job searches.  For instance, 3,917 people used the library'spublic Internet access during the fiscal year. That's an increase of 23 percent from the previous fiscal year.
