78 people took advantage Wednesday of a satellite absentee voting station at Luther College conducted by the Winneshiek County Auditor's Office.
That represented a better turnout at the absentee voting station than occurred May 20th, when just one person, a Luther faculty member, voted. Winneshiek County spent over $500 on staffing the satellite station and printing additional ballots.
On Wednesday residents of both Ward #4 and Ward #5 took advantage of the convenience of the voting station. Election officials said they had streaks where they were fairly busy.
