Decorah Clinic at Winneshiek Medical Center is announcing that it has seasonal influenza vaccines available.
The injection this year includes both the seasonal flu and H1N1 vaccine. Walk-ins are welcome. Patients can also call for an appointment to receive the vaccination.
Health experts recommend that everyone should receive the vaccine unless they are:
• Infants less than 6 months of age.
• People who are allergic to eggs, egg products or to any component of the vaccine
• Anyone with a history of Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS)
• Anyone who is sick or has a fever--the vaccination should be rescheduled
Seniors over age 65 should bring their Medicare B card. Make an appointment at Decorah Clinic at Winneshiek Medical Center by calling (563) 382-2911.
