New doctor begins work at Gundersen Clinic-Decorah

The Gundersen-Lutheran Decorah Clinic has a new doctor.  Matt Thompson will begin as a family practice doctor next week, after completing orientation work this week.

Thompson is a Strawberry Point native who attended college at Luther.  He went to medical school in Des Moines and did a residency in Mason City before accepting the job at Gundersen.

Thompson says he is happy to return to the Northeast Iowa area.
