If you're reading this, you might be on vacation!

It turns out August still is the most popular time for Decorah residents to take a vacation!

Last week we asked our readers "When do you take a vacation?"  The question was prompted by a comment from someone who thought more families were taking vacation in June instead of waiting until after Nordic Fest.

It turns out that isn't the case--at least according to our survey:

32 percent answered "Why take a vacation from Decorah in the summer?"

15 percent answered they took a vacation during June   

9 percent answered they left town during Nordic Fest   

But the most popular answer was from people who took a vacation after Nordic Fest--44 percent of those responding.
