Troll Artwork winners have been announced

Winners from the first Nordic Fest Troll Artwalk have been selected.

Participating artists created troll artwork to be displayed in the windows of several downtown businesses during Nordic Fest.  Fest attendees then voted for their favorite display,entering to win a troll figurine donated by Berquist Imports of Minneapolis.

Tyingfor the People's Favorite Troll Artwalk display were Elea Uhl, whose troll was displayed at Margaret's, and Hans Peter Jorgenson, whose troll was displayed at the Decorah Chick Hatchery.  Winning the troll figurine was Danika Akre of Waukesha, Wisconsin, whose name was drawn from all voters.

Other Troll Artwalk participating artists included Vel Luse, Darla Ellickson, Lorene Geiselhart, Larry and Doris Lubbert, Kris Henderson, Eugene Somdahl and Paula Brown.  The trolls were displayed at Ace Kitchen Place, Berg Cabinets, Blue Heron Knittery, Decorah Chick Hatchery, Fancy Pants, Happiness Is, H & R Block, Margaret's and the Vesterheim Amdal-Odland Building.

The event was sponsored by the Nordic Fest Committee in coordination with the Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce, Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum and local artists through the Northeast Iowa Studio Art Tour.
