


Decorah Police made several arrests during Nordic Fest.
Around 10:15 p.m. Saturday 20-year-old Mark Lavery of Gurnee, Illinois, and 21-year-old Keith Gaynor of Holy Cross, Iowa, were asked to leave the beer pavillion on Day Spring Lane after officers allegedly witnessed several liquor law violations.
About 10:30 p.m. the two men returned to the pavillion and became confrontational. Shortly thereafter, police say they witnessed Lavery and Gaynor fighting with a private security officer. The two men were jailed and charged with Public Intoxication and Interference with Official Acts.
On Friday night 25-year-old David Carolan of Decorah was arrested on public intoxication charges after officers allegedly witnessed him damaging city property along River Street.
On Sunday morning 21-year-old Alexander Gorman of Eagan, Minnesota, was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication after he was found lying unconscious near College Drive in Decorah
