Old jail getting a new look

The old Winneshiek County Jail is getting a new look.

The Winneshiek County Board has hired Sacquitne Plastering and Meier Painting to repair the 132-year-old building and give it a fresh coat of paint.  The new colors were chosen to accent the nearby courthouse.  County supervisors inspected the painting on Monday morning and gave their advice on color selection.
