Three departments at Winneshiek Medical Center and two individuals have been recognized for the level of service they offer.

At a recent Winneshiek Medical Center award reception, the Obstetrics Department, Emergency Department and Same Day Services–Infusion Therapy were recognized with a gold award.  Emily Young Johnson received a silver award and Bruce Wulfsberg received a burgundy award.

Mayo Health System's Service Excellence Committee established award criteria based on the Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey results.  There were four levels of awards--platinum for those scoring in the 99th percentile in patient satisfaction; gold for those in the 95th -98th percentile; silver for those in the 90th-94th percentile; and burgundy for those who had a statistically significant improvement in patient satisfaction in 2009 when compared with 2008.

Mayo Clinic and Mayo Health System have set a goal for all providers, specialties and locations to achieve patient satisfaction scores in the 90th percentile.
