School Board approves bid for soccer/football practice field project

The Decorah Community School Board has approved a $37,000 bid from Cutting Edge for laser grading, seed preparation, deep tine aeration, irrigation, and water main hookup for the soccer field and football practice field on the north side of the high school. Cutting Edge was the only bidder that provided the full range of services needed for the project. The intent is for the work to begin soon to ready the fields for full use next spring.
The project will upgrade the questionable quality of the soccer field, as well as improve the football practice area. Both areas will also be highly used for marching band and physical education activities.
