New Trout Run Trail sculpture installed

The Trout Run Trail now has another piece of public art.

Minneapolis sculptor Doug Freeman came to Decorah on Tuesday to supervise installation of his statue.  The artwork is along Dug Road Trail, facing out towards the Upper Iowa River.

Volunteer crews from Reilly Construction of Ossian worked Tuesday afternoon to drill holes into the rock that will serve as the base of the statue.  A small crowd of onlookers watched as the crews completed their work
