


Decorah Police handled three traffic accidents late this week.
On Thursday on Highway 9 49-year-old Patricia Frana of Decorah struck the rear of a car driven by 33-year-old Rebecca Ott of Spillville, causing $1,300 in damages. Frana was ticketed for failure to maintain control of her vehicle. Also Thursday 62-year-old Shirley Francis of Spillville and 47-year-old Tammy Mertz of Cresco collided at the Broadway and Washington Street intersection, causing $1,500 in damages. Neither was ticketed.
On Wednesday, 44-year-old Jean Markee of Decorah and 30-year-old Zeno Kappes of Decorah collided when Markee pulled out from a parking space on Water Street as Kappes passed by, causing $1,200 in damages. Neither driver was ticketed.
