The local chapter of the American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees is honoring the Decorah Street Department.
The group gave the city street department an award on Monday in the wake of a resolution passed by the Iowa legislature that praised local street departments for "their diligent work in clearing snow & ice" during what the resolution described as "one of the coldest & snowiest winters in the state's history."
