


State Representative John Beard has gotten some good news. Beard learned Monday morning that he will not have any Republic Party opposition in his re-election bid this fall.
The deadline for candidates to file for a spot on the June primary ballot was 5:00 p.m. Friday. No candidate other than Beard filed nomination papers in the 16th State Assembly District.
Beard is finishing his first term in the state legislature. He filed nomination papers March 1st for a spot on the June primary ballot.
