The North Winneshiek School Board approved the FY11 Budget at their Monday meeting. The recommended levy rate will be $14.76 per $1,000 of assessed valuation. The current levy rate is $13.85. The total levy will generate $1,476,923 in property taxes for the school district in FY11. The district increased the cash reserve levy to cover the state 10 per cent cross-the-board cut of $165,748 from October 2009. The district is also using the cash reserve levy to prepare for a possible across-the-board cut during the 2010-2011 school
year.
