The annual photography contest sponsored by the Winneshiek County Convention and Visitors Bureau has begun, with entries being accepted through April 1st.
WCCVB Director Brenda Balk says her organization is especially interested in winter photos this year. Says Balk, "Sledding, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, sipping hot chocolate, scenic frost photos--anything seasonal would be great."
Photos must be taken in Winneshiek County and must be in .jpg format. Each participant may submit up to 20 photos. No Copyright Protected photos will be accepted.
The contest winner will receive a $200 prize package sponsored by River & Trail Outfitters, Pepsi-Cola of Decorah, the Dairy Center, Winneshiek Wildberry Winery and Hotel Winneshiek. The winning photo will be used on the newest Winneshiek County postcard.
