All six NE Iowa counties show a decline in COVID-19 positivity ratings

The six counties that make up NE Iowa collectively report an average 14-day COVID-19 positivity rating of 14 percent. That's down 3 percent from one week ago.

All six counties report a decline in positivity ratings compared to last Thursday. Allamakee County saw the biggest decline with a drop from 25 percent to 19 percent. Chickasaw County dropped from 18 percent to 14 percent; Howard County dropped from 14 percent to 12 percent; Winneshiek County dropped from 17 percent to 15 percent; Clayton County dropped from 17 percent to 16 percent; and Fayette County dropped from 11 percent to 10 percent.

Winneshiek County reports 389 active positive cases, Allamakee County reports 358, Fayette County reports 280, Clayton County reports 278, Chickasaw County reports 177, and Howard County reports 171.

As of Thursday morning, Clayton County reports 1,285 total COVID-19 cases since March; Winneshiek County reports 1,253 total cases; Fayette County reports 1,211 total cases; Allamakee County reports 1,056 total cases; Chickasaw County reports 979 total cases; and Howard County reports 645 total cases. That means there have been 6,429 residents of the six county area who have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past nine months.
