Decorah's Community Hero Holiday Project is underway

The Community Hero Holiday Project is a project sponsored by the Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce which features videos of local heroes reading holiday books for everyone to enjoy.

Featured Local Heroes include members of the Decorah Fire Department, Decorah Police Department, Gundersen Health Systems, Winneshiek County EMS, Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office, Winneshiek Medical Center, the Mayor of Decorah, and a special reading from Santa on Christmas Eve.

Former DACC Executive Director Kristina Wiltgen says, "I am so excited about this project! We filmed 12 holiday books, and all of our readers participated with full holiday spirit. We could not have asked for a better crew!"

New videos will be posted now through Christmas Eve on the DACC website at https://www.decorahareachamber.com/holiday-events and also on the DACC Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/decorahchamber
