Two-vehicle accident causes $4,000 of damage

The Decorah Police Department report two vehicles were involved in an accident at 10:25 p.m. on December 7th.

25-year-old Courtney Hedeman of West Union was waiting at the red light at the intersection of Mechanic Street and Water Street. The light turned green and Hedeman entered the intersection traveling southbound on Mechanic Street. Meanwhile, 79-year-old Richard Lund of Decorah failed to obey the traffic control device and struck Hedeman's vehicle.
