Winneshiek County Health Director Krista Vanden Brink says her agency is beginning to see COVID-19 cases with ties to Thanksgiving celebrations.
Vanden Brink told County Health Board members that Winneshiek County had 428 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in November and already had 132 COVID-19 cases as of December 9th. The 132 figure included one day in December with 42 local cases of COVID-19.
It typically takes two weeks or so for the impact of out-of-town traveling to be reflected in COVID-19 numbers.
