Former Decorah resident taken to Winneshiek County Jail on warrant for violating probation on two criminal charges

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office says 36-year-old Jaylani Whiteside, a former Decorah resident now living in Elgin, has been taken into custody and brought to the Winneshiek County Jail.
 
Whiteside was sentenced earlier this year to two years' probation on two criminal charges—second degree domestic abuse assault and false imprisonment.  Fayette county deputies took Whiteside into custody on Wednesday, then Winneshiek County deputies took Whiteside to the Winneshiek County Jail.
