COVID-19 positive patients in the area can get an infusion from Winneshiek Medical Center which may decrease the risk of severe illness

Winneshiek Medical Center is announcing that it is now providing monoclonal antibody medication for COVID-19 patients, which may help decrease the risk of severe illness and complications due to COVID-19, and is most effective if received early in the onset of the infection.

Patients receiving the infusions must meet the criteria posted here.  Patients treated with the medication should continue to self-isolate and use infection control measures, according to CDC guidelines.

Someone who has tested positive for having COVID-19 can call Winneshiek Medical Center at 563-382-2911 and ask for an appointment in the Respiratory Illness Clinic to discuss your options with a health care provider.  Patients must bring documentation of their COVID-19 test result to the appointment.
