Letter to the Editor: One set of rules for Dr. Sand, another for everyone else?

(Editor's Note: We looked at social media photos and saw none that would support Paul Hunter's claim, but have contacted him, asking him to send us such a photo)

(The following Letter to the Editor has been submitted by Paul Hunter of Decorah):

"A recent letter to the editor about the Covid-19 pandemic signed in part by Dr. Kevin Sand explained that one of the best ways to avoid spreading Covid is to make sure you 'don't share air.'  Dr. Sand also says we need to avoid gathering with others outside our household, including during the holidays.  'A lonely Christmas is better than an ICU New Years.'

Maybe Dr. Sand can explain to us why his son, State Auditor Rob Sand, posted a picture on one of his social media pages of his family sharing a meal in Rob's house with Dr. Sand and his wife during Thanksgiving.   Is the Sand family not expected to follow the same guidelines as the rest of us?   Rules for thee but not for me?"
