Black ice to blame for an accident on Old Stage Road

On Saturday at 9:40 p.m., 48-year-old Teresa May of Waukon was traveling west bound on Old Stage Road when she lost control on a curve. The curve was covered in a thin sheet of black ice. May lost control of her vehicle, struck a guardrail and entered the ditch where the vehicle rolled onto its side.

May's vehicle sustained $11,000 of damage. No ambulance transport was needed.
