2003 Decorah High School graduate Jessica Rilling has been hired as the new Executive Director of the Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce.
Rilling, who is currently the Executive Director for the nonprofit Iowa Valley RC&D, will start her new position on Wednesday, December 9th. She replaces Kristina Wiltgen who has been with the Chamber of Commerce for 17 years.
"2020 has been a uniquely difficult year. I am ready to continue the important work DACC is already doing and hear from DACC members and local partners about what is needed next," says Rilling,
Said Chamber Board President Joe Gavle, "Jessica has an energetic leadership style; this combined with her business acumen and experience in capacity building makes her uniquely qualified."
Rilling, her husband Justin, and their daughter Ida Mae are relocating to Decorah from Cedar Rapids, where they have lived for the past ten years. Justin is a Principal Software Engineer with BAE Systems. He will continue in the position as a remote worker. Both Jessica and Justin were 2003 graduates from Decorah High School.
