Locust Road has reopened

Locust Road in Decorah has reopened to traffic.

A brief ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at Locust Road and College Drive at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.  The ceremony included City of Decorah officials and contractors who worked on the project, including representatives from Skyline Construction, Wicks Construction, Croell Ready Mix, Tara Erosion Control, Iowa Plains Signing, W.K. Construction, Lovewell Fencing, and McClure Engineering.

The $5,473,404.41 project still has some work left, but that will be work which can be done without stopping traffic on the road.
