Decorh Area Chamber of Commerce cancels this year's Holiday Parade

Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Kristina Wiltgen is announcing the cancellation of the 2020 Holiday Parade in Decorah, due to the updated COVID-19 guidelines from the State of Iowa.

The Holiday Lights fireworks show is still scheduled for Thursday, December 3rd at 6:30 p.m. Families are encouraged to find a place to park and enjoy the fireworks display. The fireworks will be set off north of the Decorah High School baseball field, similar to the annual Nordic Fest fireworks.

"New, updated events are being planned to bring some holiday cheer to the community, especially our youth," adds Wiltgen.

"We hope to fully celebrate with new and old traditions in 2021," says Wiltgen.
