Decorah Police make a drug arrest

A traffic stop early Friday morning in Decorah has led to the arrest of a West Union man on several charges.

A Decorah Police officer observed a vehicle parked on Iowa Avenue after 1:00 Friday morning and investigated the vehicle.  The officer found the driver, 54-year-old Danny James Huffman of West Union, was barred from driving.

During a subsequent search of the vehicle and of Huffman, officers allegedly located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Huffman has been charged with Aggravated Misdemeanor Driving While Barred Habitual Offender, Simple Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, 3rd or subsequent offense.
