Northeast Iowa's 14-day COVID test positivity rate increases

The six counties that make up NE Iowa have collectively reached an average 14-day COVID-19 positivity rating of 22 percent. This is up 2 percent from one week ago.
Individually, Chickasaw County jumped to the top of the list with a 29 percent positivity rating (a 6 percent increase). Clayton County remains at 26 percent, Fayette County remains at 22 percent, Howard County jumped to 21 percent (a 5 percent increase), Allamakee County remains at 18 percent, and Winneshiek County increased to 17 percent (a 2 percent increase).
As of this morning, Fayette County reports 522 active positive cases, Clayton County reports 510, Winneshiek and Allamakee Counties both report 308, Howard County reports 196, and Chickasaw County reports 167.
As of Thursday evening, Winneshiek County was at 831 total COVID cases since March; Clayton County was a 925 cases; Fayette County was at 893 cases; Chickasaw County was at 709 total cases; Allamakee County was at 666 cases and Howard County was at 462 cases. That means there have been 4,486 residents of the six county area who have gotten COVID-19 at some time this year.
Statewide, Iowa is reporting 83,794 active positive cases, 2,102 deaths, and 1,516 hospitalizations.
