Decorah man ticketed following Quarry Hill Road accident

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office says 26-year-old Andrew Hovden of Decorah has been ticketed following an accident Friday night on Quarry Hill Road.

Hovden was northbound on Quarry Hill Road and swerved to avoid some raccoons in the roadway. He lost control of his vehicle, entered the steep ditch and rolled over. No ambulance transport was needed.

The accident did $20,000 in damages. Hovden was charged with failure to maintain control and having an open container.
