The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office says deputies have arrested 60-year-old William Harrison Junior of rural Dorchester on a federal arrest warrant for Violation of Probation.

Harrison was accused of making threatening phone calls to Winneshiek Medical Center in late 2018.  In Winneshiek County Court he entered an Alford guilty plea under which he agreed to be sentenced on a charge of second degree harassment, without admitting guilt, and was sentenced to 30 days in jail.  He was then turned over to federal officials on weapon-related charges.  He entered a plea agreement to those federal charges, admitting that he purchased a rifle and 200 rounds of ammunition in Onalaska, Wisconsin.  US District Court Judge C.J. Williams then sentenced Harrison to over ten months of imprisonment, a three-year term of supervised release after the prison term and $10,000 in fees for his court-appointed attorney.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office says Harrison now has been transferred into federal custody.
