COVID-19 numbers keep climbing in Northeast Iowa

The total number of COVID-19 cases in NE Iowa now sits at 4,149. This is an increase of over 600 cases in one week.
Clayton County continues to have the highest number of total cases in the six-county region with 867 (392 recovered, 4 deaths, 471 active ). Fayette County follows with 829 total cases (344 recovered, 8 deaths, 433 active). Winneshiek County reports 766 total cases (500 recovered, 9 deaths, 257 active ); Chickasaw County reports 645 total cases (472 recovered, 1 death, 171 active ); Allamakee County reports 627 total cases (336 recovered, 9 deaths, 282 active); Howard County reports 415 total cases (246 recovered, 9 deaths, 257 active).
The 14-day average of positive cases shows Clayton County at 25%, Chickasaw County at 23%, Fayette County at 21%, Allamakee and Howard Counties at 18%, and Winneshiek County at 16%.
