Winneshiek County Community Foundation will host a virtual grant applicant workshop from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
WCCF committee members will discuss the 2021 grant cycle, including what they look for in applications and what changes have been made to the grant guidelines and application form. Individuals representing nonprofit organizations or government entities serving Winneshiek County are invited to attend the workshop and may RSVP to attend online at cfneia.org/winneshiek-workshop. Zoom link details will be emailed to those who RSVP.
The Winneshiek County Community Foundation's 2021 grant cycle is now open, with an application deadline of 11:59 p.m. on January 10th, 2021. The online grant application may be found on the Community Foundation's website at www.winneshiekccf.org
Grants are awarded to projects in the following areas: art and culture, community betterment, education, environment, health, historic preservation and human service. Grant applicants must be a 501(c)(3) designated organization or a government entity serving Winneshiek County in order to be considered for funding. First-time grant applicants should contact Dotti Thompson, program manager for the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa, at (319) 243-1358 prior to submitting an application. Grant recipients will be announced in March 2021.
In 2020, a total of $133,897 in grants were awarded to 32 area nonprofits and government agency projects serving Winneshiek County.
