Decorah School District COVID-19 numbers are lower than the community's numbers

COVID-19 remains less of an issue among staff and students in the Decorah Community School District than it does in the community at large.

The school district says their COVID-19 statistics as of last Thursday showed eight staff members have been diagnosed with COVID-19--and all have recovered.  Of the approximately 1,575 students taking on-site instruction, 21 have tested positive for COVID-19 and 15 have recovered.

67 students have been isolating or quarantining because of exposure to COVID-19; fewer than six staff members have been in quarantine or isolation.
