Friday's COVID-19 numbers in NE Iowa have set several records

The latest wave of coronavirus cases continues to set new records.
Winneshiek County is now reporting 706 COVID-19 cases since the epidemic began, with nine deaths and 473 recoveries, meaning there are currently 224 active cases of COVID-19 in the county.
Fayette County has the highest number of current COVID-19 cases, with 746 cases since the start of the epidemic, 8 deaths and 331 recoveries leaving 407 people currently in treatment for COVID.
Clayton County has had the highest number of COVID-19 cases since the epidemic began--793--but has had more recoveries--385--leaving it with 404 people currently in treatment for COVID.
Chickasaw County's total of COVID cases is 577, with 1 death and 440 recoveries, meaning 136 people are still in treatment. Allamakee County has had 575 total cases of COVID-19, with nine deaths and 317 recoveries, giving the county 249 current COVID patients. Finally, Howard County has had a total of 382 COVID cases, nine deaths and 234 recoveries, leaving a total of 139 current COVID cases.
In total, the six counties in NE Iowa currently have 1,559 patients getting treated for COVID-19, 40 deaths and 3,779 COVID cases since the epidemic began.
