Test Iowa location in Decorah will be at a new location on Monday

"We knew it would be ideal to have an indoor, drive-through space for Test Iowa testing, but did not have anything on our campus to accommodate that need," says Winneshiek Medical Center Director of Operations Dave Rooney.

Steve's Car Care owner Steve Spilde says, "When Winneshiek Medical Center approached us with the need for an indoor, drive-through testing location, we knew we could give back in this way. It is our privilege to offer a portion of our facility to the community during the pandemic."

The Test Iowa facility originally was located at Winneshiek Medical Center.  Two weeks ago it moved to the Army Reserve Center, but ran into some issues there.

Rooney says the Steve's Car Care location will be "an ideal set-up for the winter."  Steve's Car Care has a heated drive-through garage that will allow people to stay in their cars while being tested.  The heated garage also protects WMC staff from the elements.  Additionally, there is adequate space that can safely accommodate the vehicles lining up for the service.
