NE Iowa climbs to an average 14-day COVID-19 positivity rating of 20 percent

The six counties that make up NE Iowa have together reached an average 14-day COVID-19 positivity rating of 20 percent. Individually, Clayton County is at 26 percent, Chickasaw County is at 23 percent, Fayette County is at 22 percent, Allamakee County is at 18 percent, Howard County is at 16 percent, and Winneshiek County is at 15 percent.  

Clayton County continues to have the highest total number of positive cases with 766, followed by Fayette County with 721, Winneshiek County with 684, Allamake County with 558, Chickasaw County with 554, and Howard County with 371.  This brings NE Iowa's total COVID-19 case total to 3,654 — up 121 from yesterday.

Fayette County has the highest number of active COVID-19 cases in NE Iowa with 392, followed by Clayton County with 377, Allamakee County with 239, Winneshiek County with 209, Chickasaw County with 126, and Howard County with 131.

Winneshiek, Allamakee, and Howard Counties report the highest number of COVID-19 deaths in NE Iowa with 9 apiece, followed by Fayette County with 7, Clayton County with 4, and Chickasaw County with 1.

Statewide, Iowa reports 30 deaths in the past 24-hours, bringing the state's death toll up to 1,928. Hospitalizations across the state have set another record with 207 in the past 24-hours, bringing the total number to 1,208. Of these hospitalizations, 215 are in the ICU and 101 are on ventilators.
