Andrew e-mails: "Are there going to be fireworks this year for the Holiday Lights?"

The Answer Person says: "Yes, Helping Services, which runs Holiday Lights, says its fireworks display will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 3rd.

The fireworks will be done in partnership with the Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce's Holiday Parade. The fireworks will be set off by Mick Layden from the same place they are launched during Nordic Fest—behind the dike near the softball field.

The fireworks display will be viewable from downtown.
