COVID-19 cases in NE Iowa increase by more than 600 in one week

The total of COVID-19 cases in NE Iowa now sits at 3,380. This is an increase of over 600 cases in one week.

Clayton County continues to have the highest number of total cases in the six-county region with 714 (372 recovered, 4 deaths, 338 active cases). Winneshiek County and Fayette County follow with 647 total cases (456 recovered, 9 deaths, 182 active cases in Winneshiek County; 305 recovered, 6 deaths, 336 active cases in Fayette County). Allamakee County reports 533 total cases (295 recovered, 9 deaths, 229 active cases); Chickasaw County reports 500 total cases (397 recovered, 1 death, 102 active cases); Howard County reports 339 total cases (217 recovered, 9 deaths, 113 active cases).

The 14-day average of positive cases shows Clayton County at 26%, Chickasaw County at 20%, Fayette County at 19%, Allamakee County at 18%, Winneshiek County at 13%, and Howard County at 11%.
