Planning & Zoning Commission delays discussion of new building at the Fairgrounds

The 4H/FFA Community Building demolition is part of the plan for a new event center at the Fairgrounds

Winneshiek County Agricultural Association Board President Becky Winkler says some buildings at the Fairgrounds are being torn down to make room for a new Community Building.

The site plan for the project was scheduled to be discussed Monday night by the Decorah Planning & Zoning Commission, but City Administrator Chad Bird told the P&Z members some minor issues have come up that will need to first be discussed by the city's Board of Adjustment. As a result, the Planning & Zoning Commission took no action on the site plan.
