All but three counties in Iowa now have 14-day averages for percentage of COVID-19 tests with positive results at ten percent or above. 70 counties--including Clayton, Allamakee, Chickasaw and Fayette--have 14-day averages at 15.0 percent or higher--the standard set by the State of Iowa which would allow school districts to apply to switch back to virtual learning.
In NE Iowa, Clayton County continues to have the highest number of positive cases with 636. Winneshiek County follows with 575, Fayette County with 521, Allamakee County with 466, Chickasaw County with 431, and Howard County with 308. This brings NE Iowa's total COVID-19 case count to 2,937 — up 79 from yesterday's total of 2,858.
