College Drive accident causes $8,000 in damages

The Decorah Police Department is reporting a two-vehicle accident on College Drive last Thursday night.

Police say 58-year-old Heather Tappan of Decorah pulled out of a parking lot on College Drive and struck an SUV driven by 37-year-old Sarah Schnur of Ridgeway.

Neither driver was injured. Police say Tappan failed to yield to right-of-way, but officers did not ticket her.
