COVID-19 numbers continue to climb in NE Iowa

Winneshiek County continues to have the highest number of COVID-19 cases within the six counties of NE Iowa. In the past 24 hours, Winneshiek County's case number increased by 10, from 479 to 489.
Clayton County increased by 24 to 454 cases, Fayette County increased by 7 to 388 cases, Allamakee County increased by 8 to 384, Chickasaw County increased by 7 to 367, and Howard County increased by 8 to 279 cases.
Northeast Iowa's COVID-19 totals increased by 64 cases over the past 24-hours, with the greatest increase coming from Clayton County. There have been 2,351 COVID-19 cases in the six counties since the epidemic began.
Statewide, there are now 596 patients hospitalized because of COVID-19, a record for Iowa. There are 136 patients in the ICU, up from 128 on Tuesday. Winneshiek County health officials say three Winneshiek County residents remain hospitalized because of COVID.
