Members of the Hannah Lee Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution observed National DAR Day of Service by making cookies and donating them to the Winneshiek County Sheriff; the Decorah Police and Fire Departments and the EMTs and nurses at WMC Emergency Room.

DAR members Jill Amdahl, Peggy Harvey, Wendy Novak, Carolyn Seaton, Marilyn Holland, and Carol Hasvold made and donated 21 dozen cookies locally. In all, DAR Chapter members made and distributed a total of 81 dozen cookies for First Responders in NE Iowa.

The Daughters of the American Revolution was founded in 1890 to promote historic preservation, education and patriotism. To learn more, visit www.DAR.org or connect with DAR at facebook.com/TodaysDAR.
